Melting a wax melt is different from burning a candle. The wax is only heated and liquefied, it does not disappear, because the wax is not being burned. Instead, the fragrance oils gradually evaporate and release their scent into the air. Once the fragrance fades or disappears, replace a fresh wax melt.
